Involvement

We believe that community support is part of being a responsible business and we are proud supporters and sponsors of a number of community and industry organizations and events every year. Many of our employees are residents of Squamish and both the company and our people are active in the community.

Squamish Terminals is a proud donor of the Squamish Community Foundation (SCF) through the establishment of the Squamish Terminals Youth & Environment Fund (est. 2015) and the Ron Anderson Memorial Fund (est. 2017).

  • SCF is an independent, charitable organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for the community members of Squamish. The foundation was created in 2003 to meet the needs of our growing community through the establishment of a locally based long-term institution. SCF manages funds given to them by donors in our community and distributes the income from those endowed funds to local registered charities for community projects; for Squamish Terminals’ fund we will be focused on organizations that support youth and the environment. The Ron Anderson Memorial Fund was created by Squamish Terminals in honour of the organizations late CEO Ron Anderson. The Ron Anderson Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund with support an annual scholarship of $1000 to a Grade 12 student living in the Squamish Region who is registered to attend a post-secondary institution in either a transportation, political science or business field of study and/or must have demonstrated service to his/her community..
  • SCF brings together people who care about our community. SCF facilitates philanthropy by partnering with donors to build permanent endowments and other funds from which they can support community projects. Because the foundation focuses on building permanent endowments, they are able to address long-term community challenges as well as immediate needs. Below are several local organizations we support outside of the SCF.
